What we collect

NameStork collects the account details you provide, such as your email address and display name. We also store the naming activity needed to run the app, including preferences, swipes, matches, shared shortlists, family votes, and a final name when you choose to save one.

We may collect basic app, device, and usage information to keep NameStork reliable and understand how its features are used. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat handle purchases; NameStork receives purchase and entitlement status but does not receive your full payment-card details.

How information is collected and used

We collect information when you create an account, use NameStork features, connect with a partner, invite family input, make a purchase, or contact support. We use it to provide and secure the app, keep shared activity in sync, personalize name suggestions, confirm Plus access, respond to support requests, and improve reliability.

Name Whisperer and service providers

When you use Name Whisperer, your request and relevant naming preferences may be sent to OpenAI to generate suggestions. Other trusted providers help us operate NameStork, including Cloudflare for hosting and data services, Apple and Google for sign-in and purchases, RevenueCat for purchase status, and SendGrid for service email.

We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising. Service providers may process information only to perform services for NameStork and are expected to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable requirements.

Data retention

We keep account and naming data while your account is active and as long as reasonably needed to provide NameStork, protect the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Purchase records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat follow those providers' retention practices.

Your choices

You can update profile details and preferences in the app, choose whether to use Name Whisperer, and stop sharing new activity with other people. You can permanently delete your NameStork account from inside the app. Visit the Delete Account page for instructions.
